Ricardo Dominguez Obituary, Texas Death: 29-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Hit-and-Run Crash on I-10 East in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas — Family members, friends, and the El Paso community are mourning the loss of Ricardo Dominguez, 29, who died after sustaining critical injuries in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 East, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday on eastbound I-10 near the Yarbrough Drive and Lomaland Drive exits. Investigators reported that Dominguez was riding his motorcycle when a light-colored vehicle allegedly changed lanes at a high rate of speed and struck the motorcycle, causing him to lose control and crash.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Dominguez to a local hospital with serious injuries. Despite medical treatment, he died Monday from injuries sustained in the collision, police said.

According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash and has not yet been identified. Police have described the suspect vehicle only as a light-colored vehicle and continue to search for both the driver and the vehicle involved.

The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit is actively investigating the fatal hit-and-run. Detectives are reviewing evidence and working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
